- I am truly grateful and delighted to receive this meaningful award today.
I believe this award is not only for me, but for all those in Korea who have been working hard to promote veganism.
When I first became vegan, just a few months later, I had to travel to Japan for 15 days on a business trip.
At that time, I was very worried — how could I maintain a vegan lifestyle for 15 days in Japan?
I still remember buying plain rice from convenience stores and eating it alone in parks.
Now, 33 years later, when I visited Japan again, I was amazed by how much things had changed.
There were so many vegan restaurants and plant-based foods available.
I felt deeply moved and thankful, realizing how much veganism has grown.
Just like Japan has changed, Korea has changed — and so has the entire world.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and respect to all the vegans who have made these changes possible.
Going forward, whether in clothing, food, or housing, someone must continue to work quietly and persistently to spread vegan culture in all aspects of daily life, so that more people can understand and practice vegan living.
If each of us becomes a vegan leader and works together, I am confident that the day of a truly vegan world will come even sooner.
For a green planet where humans and animals can live happily together, I will also continue to do my very best.

- 오늘 이렇게 뜻깊은 상을 받게되어 감사하고 기쁨니다.
한국에서 비건을 알리기위해 노력하시는 많은 분들을 대신해서 받는 상이라고 생각합니다.
제가 비건을 처음 시작하고 몇개월 지나지 않아 회사 일로 일본을 15일 동안 여행하였는데요. 그땐 참 걱정이 많았습니다. 어떻게 15일 동안 일본에서 비건을 하며 생활할수 있을까! 그래서
줄곧 편의점에서 판매하는 밥만사서 공원에서 먹었던 기억도 납니다.
33년이 지나 다시 방문한 일본은 참 달랐습니다. 비건 식당과 비건 먹거리도 많고 다양하다는게 그동안 비건이 많이 발전하였구나 라는 생각에 흐뭇하고 너무 고마웠습니다.
이처럼 일본이 달라지고, 한국이 달라지고 전세계가 달라지고 있습니다.
이런 변화를 일으킨 많은 비건인들에게 감사와 경의를 표하고 싶습니다
앞으로도 의,식,주를 비롯해 생활 전반에 비건 문화를 확산시켜 많은 사람들이 비건을 이해하고 실천할 수 있게 누군가는 말없이 계속 노력해야 할것입니다.
우리 각자가 비건 리더가 되어 함께 노력한다면 비건 세상의 시간은 더 빨리 올것이라 확신합니다.
인간과 동물이 함께 행복하게 살아가는 푸른 지구를 위해 저 또한 더 많이 노력하겠습니다.

また、韓国でビーガンを知らせるために努力する多くの方々に代わって受ける賞ということも忘れず、今後の活動を精進したいと思います
私がビーガンを始めてから数ヶ月後に会社の仕事で日本を15日間旅行しました。 その時は本当に心配でした。 どうやって15日間日本でビーガンをしながら生活できるのか！ それで
ずっとコンビニで売っているご飯だけ買って、公園で食べたことを思い出します。
33年が経って再び訪れた日本は本当に違いました。 ビーガン食堂やビーガンの食べ物も多く、多様だということが、これまでビーガンがたくさん発展したんだなという思いで、ほほえましく、とてもありがたかったです。
このように日本が変わり、韓国が変わり、全世界が変わっています。
このような変化を起こした多くのビーガンの人々に感謝と敬意を表したいと思います
今後も衣食住をはじめ、生活全般にビーガン文化を拡散させ、多くの人々がビーガンを理解して実践できるように、地道に努力し続けなければならないでしょう。
私たち各自がビーガンリーダーになって一緒に努力すれば、ビーガンの世界の時間はもっと早く来ると確信します。
人間と動物が一緒に幸せに生きていく青い地球のために、私ももっと努力します。
